Frequently Asked Questions
Am I “Bear” enough for Bear Happy Hour?
There are multiple ways to describe a person who is a member of the “Bear Community”. The first and most obvious is by their physical attributes - this becomes the most prevalent description when a person is looking for someone that they find sexually attractive. This is why various terms for physical descriptions such as Bear, Cub, Otter, Chaser, etc. were created. Although these are standard physical descriptions of the members of the community there is an equally important mental aspect of being apart of the community that may differ from their physical characteristics based on the relationships they have with other members.
At the end of the day, it’s about being apart of something bigger than yourself. Not as individuals, but as a community. A place where you are not judged by your outward appearances but accepted for exactly who you are. A place to catch up with old friends and to meet new ones. A place where we are all treated equally. This is the kind of atmosphere to strive to maintain at Bear Happy Hour and we will do everything in our power to keep that.
So, are you “Bear” enough for BHH? Only you can decide that. But take this as an invitation and a warning. Everyone is welcome, whether it be a member of the Bear Community or a guest, but please consider the atmosphere around you and act accordingly, or we’ll ask that you come back another time.
